OUR VALUES:

  • Simple, Straight Forward and Socially Responsible

  • Mutually Beneficial

  • Collaborative

  • Enrichment of our local community

OUR GOALS:

The Portal will help to create long-term sustainable employment for people who face challenges entering or re-entering the work place.

Supplier / Purchaser Working Group

We have a dynamic, energetic working group that will:

  • define the role and expectations of the Purchasers and Suppliers on the Portal.

  • attract quality Purchasers and Suppliers

  • help develop an easy-to-use infrastructure.

Its main tasks include: the creation of a recruitment plan and a marketing strategy; the development of processes for participating Suppliers to access and engage Purchasers through the Portal, as well as the drafting of a sign-up agreement contracts.  Its members will initiate contacts and give referrals for potential Suppliers and Purchasers to be approached.  This group will also host events that will attract businesses and other interested individuals in our region to the Portal. See below for the list of members.

Employment Service Providers Working Group

This working group will define the role and responsibilities of the Employment Service Providers (ESPs) in the Portal.  It will engage and ensure the participation of non-profit employment agencies in the SPP, and so enhance their client's opportunities to get and sustain employment. The group will also help improve client service through enhanced agency collaboration.

It will establish a core group of ESPs who will develop a collaborative agency plan and a common protocol for employer relations.  The members of this working group will also create a model for employment sustainability appropriate for our region.

The ESPs will also help to implement a marketing strategy and will engage community agencies and partners through consultations.

The chair of this working group is Carol Simpson (WWTAB).  This group meets regularly every month.  See below for the list of members.

Marketing & Promotions Working Group

This working group will develop a marketing plan according to the needs of the participating sectors in the Portal.  It will create a communications plan, to promote the website through the region.  It will organize promotional and advertising campaigns and will contact direct referrals from the other Working Groups.

In the technical aspect of their work, members will coordinate the hosting arrangements and site development of the Portal.  The group will take part in other community events that might further promote the portal.  See below of the list of members.
